Why am I being asked to provide additional information at login?
Summary
We will soon be making some changes to the tools we use to manage password self-service. As part of this process, you will be asked to provide additional information. Providing this information is required so that you can recover access to your account in the event you forget your password.
What is changing?
We presently use an external tool (https://my.dentex.group/password) to manage password resets and account unlocks. We will be transitioning to using the built-in Microsoft tools to do this instead. This will mean that you will be able to reset your password directly from the login screen instead of having to visit the Password Reset Portal. Please note that the existing system will continue to be the only way to change your password until 1st April 2021.
What do I need to do?
For those who are not enrolled, you will be asked to provide further contact details to assist in unlocking your account when you log into Dentex Connex.
You can pre-emptively set up or check your password reset details by clicking here, instructions available here.
You will need to provide at least one of:
- Alternative phone
- Mobile phone
- External email address
You can also select up to five security questions, of which you will have to answer three to recover access to your account.
When is this happening?
Dentex Connex users will start to be prompted for password self-service details from 25th February 2021. We are looking to retire the existing external service by 1st April 2021.
